The Fayre and Firkin has been in Montrose Terrace for many years but –no more. Instead owner Bruce has made some very exciting changes and not just with the name. Inside there is a welcoming open fire with rich dark English oak tables and leather chairs, fresh, clean modern lines.

Open now 7 days a week from 9 am through until late the menu is now a mixture of International and English fusion fare and includes a large range of gluten free dishes.

There is now more outside seating available for those who like to dine al fresco and its away from the noisy main road traffic so you can enjoy your meal or drinks in peace.

Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch have the added attraction of live music for that special atmosphere.

Full service is available with deli/café meals from a low $8.50, cakes, slices and savouries from $2.5 with most of these gluten free.

There is a full license with a good range of wines and beers and also organic Fair Trade coffee and real fruit smoothies, dairy and gluten free.

So it's a great place to meet up with friends, family and loved ones, you won't be disappointed.
